Police have stepped up patrols in rural parts of Preston following a spate of burglaries.

Several cars, garages and one home were broken-into in the Grimsargh area.

Preston Police say a number of individuals targeted the village to commit the crimes.

PC Chris Banks said: “We are appealing for any information from local residents to identify these people.

“We made the local Parish Council aware of the crimes. Reassurance patrols have been in the area since the area.

“We will be organising a PACT meeting for Grimsargh in the coming weeks which we will circulate the date time and venue shortly.”
