Incident on the M6 near Preston

The M6 near Preston had a lane closed due to a rush-hour crash.

Motorists are reported delays between Junction 32 and 31 southbound.

Highways England called Lancashire Police to the scene due to a two-car crash. The outside lane was closed and an ambulance was on the scene.

The incident has took place close to Junction 31 (Tickled Trout) for the A59 shortly after 5.20pm on Thursday (5 January).

Delays of up to 30 minutes were being reported, back to Junction 32 and the Broughton roundabout junction.

All lanes were cleared and back open shortly before 8pm on Thursday and traffic returned to normal.
