New luxury apartments are planned in Winckley Square – right next door to Solita.
AdvertisementLancashire House which is currently offices is due to be sold to Eastside Properties.
They have tabled early-stage plans to turn the offices into 29 apartments.
Previous plans for the site had seen 33 flats approved by the time limit on these proposals has since lapsed.
A statement from Allen Planning Limited said: “This relates to all three floors of this building.
“The property is prominently situated on the western side of Winckley Square at its junction with Garden Street.
“Winckley Square is a designated conservation area but the property is not a listed building.”

Next door to the building is the Solita restaurant, in what used to be The Olive Press and Heathcoates.
Companies operating from Lancashire House at present include Sensory Apps, Birchwood Consulting and Claro Software.
