Car crashes into lamppost in Bamber Bridge

A driver has been charged with drink-driving after a car ploughed into a lamppost in Bamber Bridge.

Police were called shortly before midnight on Wednesday (4 January) to Brindle Road.

They found a red Ford Fiesta had gone up the kerb, hit a lamppost and ended up wedged on a hedge in someone’s front garden. It also damaged a car on the driveway of the house.

Lancashire Road Police made the arrest and the driver, James Cropper, 20, of Brow Hey, Preston and has been bailed to appear at Preston Magistrates Court on Thursday 26 January.
