A short film has been released explaining the restoration of Preston’s Market canopy.
More than £620,000 has been spent by Preston City Council repair, paint and install LED lighting in the canopies.
FPE Global undertook the work, overseen by the Frank Whittle Partnership, which began in June and was finished shortly before Christmas.
The video clip explains the process undertaken and shows the before and after of the market canopies as the paint dries.
Traders continued to trade during the restoration works on the main Outdoor Covered Market which is grade-II listed.

Work was undertaken ahead of more work start in January to create the new Indoor Market under the Covered Market, with Conlon Construction moving onto the site in mid-January to undertake the multi-million pound project.
