Dirty xmas burger at Solita anyone?
Solita is celebrating entering the Christmas burger by adding an enormous Christmas burger to the menu.
The burger contains a sage and onion patty, buttermilk fried turkey, a gammon slice, port and cranberry sauce, deep fried sprouts, turkey gravy, a candied pig in a blanket and aged cheddar cheese, all sandwiched between a brioche bun.
The burger also comes with shots of prawn cocktail and a sherry trifle.
Vegetarians can have a chestnut and bean burger patty with halloumi, stuffing patty, cranberry and port sauce, deep fried sprouts, cheddar cheese and curly lettuce.
Solita will also donate 50p from each burger sold to Age UK’s Call in Time Service. The burger is priced at £15.90.
The restaurant opened on Winckley Square for the first time in July 2016 in the building that used to house The Olive Press and Heathcote’s Brasserie.
