The second stage of converting a former warehouse near Preston’s university into student flats has been lodged.
Lime Oak Properties is turning the industrial units off Fylde Road into ‘The Forum’ student flats.
Planning permission was already granted for the first floor but the firm now wants to convert a second section of the warehouses.
The site is a short walk to the main university campus in Preston.
Plans from Scales Architecture show how the ground floor of the warehouse would have more student flats included, a communal gym, covered cycle storage and a staircase linking to the existing student accommodation.
The first phase of student flats had 44 in total, the ground floor is to have 16 more self-contained flats.

All of the flats in the first phase have been let for the 2016-17 academic year.
A statement from the architects explains how demand is continuing to outstrip supply at UCLan, especially in light of its £200m masterplan bringing new buildings to the city campus.
Full plans can be seen on the city council website and comments on the planning application can be left there.
