The RSPCA are holding their 3rd Annual Pet Food Run in Preston on Sunday 11 December.
The Pet Food Run, will start at Lane Ends Pub, on Blackpool Road in Ashton, at 12.30pm and involves the biker community riding to Preston’s RSPCA to then be greeted by volunteers providing refreshments.
People are being asked to bring any pet food they can, with kitten food being requested as they are overrun this year, along with old towels and pet beds being warmly welcomed if possible, to donate to the shelter.

Laura Gunson, Organiser, said: “I am looking forward to the event as it’s great to see how generous people can be and it’s a brilliant catch-up with friends.
“The past two years have been hugely successful and anyone can take part, but we do try and encourage people to ride if they can, although a few cars are usually present to help transport all the items.”
“I wanted to hold this event with being a massive animal lover myself and felt that they shouldn’t be left out at Christmas – and many pets go unwanted when they grow older so end up at the shelter.”
To donate, people can bring donations to the charity box at Laura’s place of work, Divine Hair and Beauty, or bring items to Laura on the day.
You can also get involved by following the event on Facebook.
