Leyland Road was closed while the crash was dealt with Pic: Google

Firefighters gave first aid to two people following a late night crash in Penwortham.

Two cars collidedĀ in Leyland Road shortly before 10.30pm on Friday (23 December).

Two fire engines and crews from Preston Fire Station attended the incident.

No one was trapped but fire crews needed to give first aid until paramedics arrived.

Firefighters then continued to make the scene safe and reopen the road.
