A pensioner has died in hospital following a collision in Longton.
The 90-year-old man suffered a serious head injury on Friday evening around 5.25pm.
He was involved in a collision with a Mini One in Liverpool Road, close to the Booths supermarket.
Lancashire Police confirmed he passed away from his injuries at Royal Preston Hospital on Sunday (4 December) afternoon.
PS Nigel Ralphson, of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “First and foremost my thoughts are with the family and friends of the 90-year-old man who sadly passed away.
“We would now urge anybody who saw the collision, or who saw either the pedestrian or the Mini One in the moments prior to it happening, to contact us immediately.
“In particular we would like to speak to the man in the high-vis jacket who was walking in the area at the time. If you know who he is, or indeed if you are the man in question, please make contact with us as soon as possible.”
