A pensioner is recovering in hospital after a crash on a rural road on the outskirts of Preston.
The Citroen Relay, driven by the 87-year-old from Longton, was heading away from the A59 Longton bypass down Brownhill Lane.
Coming the other way was a Nissan Note and the two cars collided around 2.30pm on Thursday (15 December).
The Citron, containing the pensioner, was left in a ditch and the pensioner suffered multiple chest injuries.
He was taken to Royal Preston Hospital and remains in a stable condition.
Sgt Adam Dawson from the Road Policing Unit said: “We need anyone who may have seen anything to speak to us.
“If you think you can help, please call us on 101 quoting incident reference 688 of December 15th.”
