The new Burger King in the St George’s Shopping Centre Pic: Leonie Greaves
A fast food restaurant is nearly ready to open in the centre of Preston.
Burger King is returning to the city centre after many years away.
In the rotunda area of the St George’s Shopping Centre workmen are putting the finishing touches to the familiar red and white livery. The restaurant is due to open in the next few days, most likely Tuesday (20 December).
Shopping centre manager Andrew Stringer said at the time the restaurant was announced: “Burger King is a great international brand to add to the mix in St George’s, it’s a chain which is popular with all ages and we’re very much looking forward to welcoming it to the centre – we’re sure it will be very popular.”
