Bottoms out, pert and ready for the third annual cheeky Santa Dash.
Hundreds of runners are expected to turn out to support Preston’s Ben Ashworth.
Ben, who has run many marathons while battling bowel cancer, organises the Avenham Park run for Christmas.
The 5k route requires a pair of ‘bum shorts’ to be worn during the event on Saturday 17 December.
It’s £10 for adults and there’s also the 5k dash for under 16s, which is a fiver. And it’s free to bring the pram if you want to bring younger kids.
Hundreds turn out to support Ben Ashworth for Cheeky Santa Dash
A statement from Ben and family said: “After a crazy year, finding out his cancer had progressed, completing 24 marathons over 24 months, and then major liver surgery, Ben and his family are determined to put on another fundraiser in aid of the charities that have supported and inspired him.
“After spending 7 weeks in hospital in the summer, Ben is still regaining his strength. His friends and supporters have carried on running in his name and he will be jog/walking the 5k along with everyone else!”
