Prestonians have been heading to a much-loved ice cream parlour for a final scoop.
Bonds of Elswick is closing down after seven decades.
Packing the family in the car on a boiling hot day and heading into the outskirts of Preston for a creamy treat.
Martin and Caroline Molly, the owners of Bonds, have posted a notice about the closure.
They said: “It is with great sadness that Martin and Caroline wish to announce that the restaurant and ice cream parlour at Bonds of Elswick will be closing its doors for the last time on Friday 23 December.
“May we take this opportunity to say a big thank you to customers olda nd new for their support over the years and to wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year.”

The Molloys have confirmed they are retiring and putting the site is up for sale.
