Remember these three Preston friends who decided to challenge themselves to climb the National Three Peaks in aid of the Space Centre?
After three months of training, the big day came around and they absolutely smashed their target, raising £1,930 for the Preston-based charity.
The boys planned to climb Snowdon, Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike in less than 24 hours, and despite the limited time they had to prepare, they managed to complete it in just under 23.

Ryan, who came up with the idea to take on the peaks said: “It was significantly harder than all three of us expected. Not just the physical side of it, but mentally. After just one hour into the first peak we were thinking ‘have we bitten off more than we can chew here?!’
“However, we were in a group and had a great guide, who kept reminding us to ‘put our mind into neutral’ which at first we didn’t understand, but after a while it started to sink in, that we just had to focus on putting one foot in front of the other and blocking everything else out.
“When we finally finished, none of us were really that excited, we were just so exhausted and wanted to get home! But now we’ve had a few days for it to sink in, I feel invincible!”
