A Preston furniture store is urging its customers to adopt a cat while shopping for their lounges.
Life-size images of cats from the Lancashire Cat Rescue are to adorn the sofas and beds around Furniture Village.
The furniture shop has teamed up with the charity to see if it can find homes for some of the cats needing adoption.
Sprawled on the sofas include Delilah an 18-month black and white domestic shorthair, Daisy a three-year-old black domestic shorthair, Natsu a two year-old shorthair domestic light tiger tabby and Poppy a 13-year-old dark tiger tabby.

The cat rescue was founded by Christine Lomax in Penwortham in 1994, it regularly has 25 cats and kittens in its care.
Ms Lomax said: βWe are always happy to bring our cats to the attention of those who might offer them a good home. Though our four-legged residents might be blissfully unaware that they are making British retail history, I suspect that they would approve. I hope that people will consider them, and their other friends, for adoption.β
The Capitol Centre store is understood to be the first furniture store to offer the re-homing option alongside buying a sofa.
Director of multichannel Charlie Harrison said: βIt made perfect sense for Furniture Village to support an amazing local charity such as Lancashire Cat Rescue, and do our bit to help them find new homes for these deserving cats. This might seem unconventional, but our customers arrive at stores looking for new and attractive items to enhance their homes, and I think that these felines fall comfortably within such a description.β
