A Preston pub has begun researching its history after a revamp.

The Plungington Hotel at the junction of Lytham Road and Plungington Road is asking regulars for any pictures they have or memories of the building.

Rebecca Scott, who is working on the revamp of the pub, has appealed for help tracing pictures of it.

She said: “Can you help? We are on the search for images of the Plungington Hotel as we look to renovate the building.

“We would love to hear from any local residents, neighbours with history on the pub and local area. So if you think you can help or know of someone that can please get in touch.”

The pub reopened back in March under new landlord Vini Hurst with a focus on real ale and a major lick of paint.
