Work is continuing on submitting the final proposals for a major new road in Preston.
AdvertisementThe Penwortham Bypass is due to ease congestion on the A59 Liverpool Road through the town.
Costing £17.5million the road will go through fields from a junction on the A59 to the Broad Oak roundabout.
It’s part of the City Deal, a £430m project to fund new roads and homes in Preston and South Ribble, and is key to allowing the Cuerden development to go ahead.
