A Preston-based accountancy firm has launched a hamper collection to support the city’s homeless this Christmas.
Rotherham Taylor Accountancy will be creating a hamper for the Foxton Centre, a homeless charity in Preston, in the run up to Christmas.
The Foxton Centre became the firm’s selected charity for 2016, and it has worked for over 40 years with rough sleepers, young people, people with alcohol abuse issues and others in the community who need support.
Following the Foxton Centre being announced as the firm’s charity of the year, Toma Sukyte, Marketing and Communications Lead at the centre, said:
“We have to be constantly fund raising in as many ways as we can in order to be able to continue our work with some of Preston’s most marginalised people.
“We put all donations of money and collections of food, toiletries or clothes to immediate and very good use and this support from Rotherham Taylor Limited makes a very real difference.”
The accountancy firm has produced a hamper collection for a number of years that has proven popular with clients, contacts and staff.

Rebecca Bradshaw, a Director at Rotherham Taylor Limited, said: “We are keen to make a difference to our local community and that is why we announced the Foxton Centre as our charity of the year earlier this year.
“Our clients, contacts and staff have always been very generous with their donations to our hamper and I am sure that will be no different this year as we collect for the Foxton Centre.”
Suggested items for donations include non-perishable food and basic toiletries including disposable razors, feminine hygiene products and deodorant.
To donate to Rotherham Taylor Limited’s hamper collection, you can drop off any items into the Preston office or email chloe@rtaccountants.co.uk to arrange collection.
