Work on Church Street is coming to an end with the finishing off the extension of the Fishergate scheme.
AdvertisementNew lamps have been placed down the centre of the road as the new look layout continues throughout Preston city centre.
Instead of Fishergate bollards the centrepieces are lamps lining the space outside the Twelve Tellers pub.
The road was closed for a fortnight along the section from Lancaster Road to Wards End.
Further work on the Fishergate-style layout is due to extend round infront of the Guild Hall and eventually up to the Bus Station. There is no timescale for when this further work is due to take place in the city centre.
