These medals will mean a huge amount to someone

Attempts are being made to return a medal found on a bus heading to Preston to its owner.

A mother took to Facebook to post about how the medal, understood to be a Second World War British Defence Medal, was found by her son.

He was on the Number 41 service heading from Lancaster to Preston Bus Station.

The medal was found around 4.30pm on Wednesday 16 November.
