Burger King is eyeing up a Preston shopping centre
A fast food chain has confirmed it is planning to open in a Preston city centre shopping centre.
Burger King has signed up with St George’s Shopping Centre and taken an empty unit in the Rotunda area adjacent to Costa.
A spokeswoman for the chain said: “BURGER KING® franchisees are regularly evaluating opportunities to bring our great-tasting products to more guests in new locations.
“We can confirm that there will be a new restaurant opening at this location later in the year; however we do not have further information at this time. We will keep you informed when more information becomes available.”
The nearest Burger King to Preston is currently at the South Rings business park near Bamber Bridge.

St George’s Shopping Centre has seen a number of new openings in the last 12 months and is expanding the amount of restaurants and cafes on offer.
General manager of the shopping centre Andrew Stringer said: “Burger King is a great international brand to add to the mix in St George’s, it’s a chain which is popular with all ages and we’re very much looking forward to welcoming it to the centre – we’re sure it will be very popular.”
