A warning has been issued about a van selling fireworks to children in Preston.

The white van has been seen around several estates in the city in the last week.

Preston Police and Trading Standards say the sale of fireworks to children has led to several reports of anti-social behaviour involving fireworks.

A spokesman for Trading Standards, who shared the warning on their Scambuster Stan page, said: “If you see anyone selling fireworks to underage people, please report it to the police on 101, or to me at”

Fireworks can only be sold to people aged 18 years or older.

Sparklers are classed as a firework and the same rules apply.
