Preston Police are investigating after an 18-year-old woman was robbed by two men in Preston.
The victim was walking down London Road at around 7.30am on Sunday morning when she was approached from behind by two males between Frenchwood Avenue and Ashworth Grove.
One of the men put his hand over the female’s mouth while the other grabbed her mobile phone. The same man then attempted to take the victim’s handbag but she resisted and the men made off towards Ashleigh Street.
Both suspects are described as Asian and aged between 20 and 30. One of the men was wearing a balaclava, grey tracksuit and black trainers.
PC Paul Goulding, of Preston Police, said: “We are investigating a nasty robbery in Preston where a lone female was targeted by two men.
“The incident has left the victim very shaken and we want to find those responsible.
“The robbery took place in the early morning and we believe someone must have seen what happened.
“If you saw anyone or anything suspicious in the area at the time of the offence, please contact us.”
