New Hall Lane Post Office is being upgraded and is set to open during early December.
AdvertisementThe modernisation of the Post Office will transform the shop into one of the firms new ‘main style’ branches.
The change is part of major revamp taking place across the Post Office network – the largest in the history of the Post Office.
Government investment will support the modernisation of 8000 branches and supply an additional investment in over 3000 community and outreach branches across the UK.
Customers of the New Hall Lane Post Office will enjoy a newly refurbished branch, longer opening hours and selected Post Office services that will also be available at the retail counter during opening hours.

The Post Office will close for refurbishment from Monday 21 November at 5.30pm and posters will be displayed in the branch to ensure all customers are aware of the change.
Cllr Martyn Rawlinson said: “The New Hall Lane Post Office upgrade is great news for the area.
“Many residents from east Preston stopped using the main post office when it moved from Birley Street to Theatre Street. The extended services and opening hours will boost the local shopping area.
“The wider footpaths and increased short term parking in the City Deal highways scheme, due to be completed next year, will encourage people to shop more locaclly and increase passing trade.
“It will also be more convenient for residents who do not shop online. A good decision by the Post Office.”
The Post Office will reopen on Thursday 8 December at 1pm.
