There is to be a minute’s applause for Dylan Crossey at Preston North End next week.

Dylan died in hospital on Saturday from head injuries sustained when the bike he was riding collided with a BMW in Chainhouse Lane at Whitestake.

He was a dedicated Preston North End fan and his family and friends are trying to organise a minute’s applause in his memory.

The applause will take place in the 15th minute of the home game against Huddersfield Town on October 19.

Huddersfield fans have also shown a touch of class by suggesting they will take part in the minute’s applause.

A 42-year-old man from New Longton has been released on bail by police after being arrested in connection with the incident.
