A drizzly Friday morning in Preston saw a teddy bear sat looking forlorn next to a line of bins.
AdvertisementDisability Equality North West chief executive Mel Close was on her way to work and driving through the Plungington area.
She put out a tweet showing the big teddy sat on the damp pavement.
Mel said: “It’s a high rented area near to where I live and there’s stuff being dumped all the time. I just saw it and thought it was heartbreaking to see the bear out on the street like that.”
PHC Law based nearby in Garstang Road decided to come to the teddy bear’s aid.
The legal eagles jumped in their car and headed round to retrieve the cuddly animal.
He was wrapped in a bin bag and smuggled into the back of a waiting car.
PHC Law tweeted: “Ted definitely happy now in his new home after the emergency surgery you performed. Drying out, enjoying a cup of tea.”
