Two best friends, Amy Cheadle and Helen Kerray, from Preston have started a new enterprise for fellow parents of young children up to the age of four.

The new business, called Baby Loved UK, holds baby sales with quality second hand items to use with their children and provides the perfect place for parents to spend a few hours, find something new and catch-up with friends.

The pair, who are local girls and went to school together in Penwortham, came up with the idea when they were both on maternity leave after attending baby sales together.

The friends both now have babies under two who were born within weeks of each other.

Helen said: “Everyone knows babies are expensive, and most parents enjoy finding lovely clothes and toys for their little ones but can’t always afford high street prices.

“Our sales are ideal for those wanting to find quality items for their children that have been loved and looked after by other families but are no longer needed.”

Baby Loved UK’s next event will be held on Saturday 29 October between 10am-12pm at Hoghton Village Hall.

Limited stalls are available for those wanting to sell their loved but no longer needed baby and toddler items as well as for local businesses wanting to showcase their services and products.

The friends said: “This is ur very first baby sale, we started just a few months ago but have been completely overwhelmed by the interest from local businesses and parents in the area.

“We hope to run these events on a quarterly basis and make them not just a place to buy second hand items, but a destination for parents to get hold of information on services in the area while they meet and socialise.”

Tickets are available for those wanting to attend the sale at £2 per adult and children are free and information has been posted on the Facebook Page.

A donation will be made from ticket sales to Space Centre in Preston and there will be a free prize draw to win an exclusive hand personalised item of children’s clothing.
