Hundreds of people have paraded through the streets of Preston in the procession of light.
AdvertisementPart of the Lancashire Encounter festival the event saw a light up horse and cart lead the light show.
Benjamin Wareing was there to see the procession heading round the city centre.
Roads were closed from 4pm on Saturday (24 September) as the preparations began, with the parade starting half an hour late while final preparations were made in Friargate where barriers were put up to cope with the crowds.
The route took the procession, which includes floats from community organisations and businesses, from Moor Lane down Friargate, along the Ringway, across the Flag Market, Fishergate and then up Corporation Street to the Adelphi roundabout.

Wallace and Gromit also made an appearance, while the whole procession was commentated on by BBC Lancashire’s John Gillmore as it crossed the Flag Market infront of the Harris Museum and Art Gallery.
