Plans to turn a shop into a brand new café on Plungington Road, Preston, have been submitted to Preston City Council.

Mrs Wong, a local Chinese restaurant owner, submitted the request on 25 August 2016 in the hope of expanding her business Bamboo Chinese Takeaway, which is located just down the road.

Case Officer Chris Blackburn is reviewing the application to open the new café at 113 Plungington Road, replacing retail shop ‘Apple Service Store’ which is currently vacant.

Mrs Wong has also requested a single storey extension to the rear of the building.

Bamboo Chinese Takeaway, which first opened at 25 Plungington Road in 1967 at the time the only Chinese takeaway in the Preston area, serves traditional Chinese favourites and new Chinese dishes.
