Bystanders have told how a man was trapped under the bus.
A fellow cyclist saw what happened while he was on his way to the shop.
Ryan Weyer said: “I was pedalling to the shop on Plungie when I saw the biker riding on the road.
“I turned my head for a slight second to check for cars down Queens Road then I heard a bang. I turned and saw the bike in the road and the guy under the bus.
“My reaction was to go and get help. So I ran into Late Booze and told the shop to ring 999.
“I then ran over to the biker and a man and woman said thanks for the support but they had it covered from there. The biker must have been in his early 20s.”
One woman who asked not to be named said: “There was a gathering of people about. The bus windscreen had been smashed.”
Mechanics from Preston Bus are also at the scene preparing to move the vehicle.
