It’s the morning of the Brexit vote and the UK has voted to leave the European Union.
At a doctors surgery on the outskirts of Preston patients in the waiting room got quite a shock.
All 40 staff from receptionists to GPs serenaded them with The Pretenders class I’ll Stand by You.
They wanted to let patients at the Great Eccleston Health Centre know no matter what the outcome of the referendum they would continue to care for them.
The singing doctors and nurses!
Rebecca Gray, a GP at the practice, said: “We think it’s the first flashmob performed in a surgery.
“We are proud of the work we do in general practice and the support we receive from the local community.
“We hope this will, in some small way, encourage back to back general practice.
“Patients who were there on the day were very surprised! News of it has soon spread round the village and has been really positive.”
