Fancy helping the RSPCA and stretching your dog’s legs?
Canine companions are being sought for a sponsored walk in Avenham Park in September.
RSPCA Preston is asking pooches and their owners to help raise funds for the animal centre.
Branch manager John Alan Wareing said: “This is a great opportunity for the community to come together to get behind a good cause.
“We are a nation of animal lovers and this is a great opportunity to make lots of new doggy friends – and human ones too.”
Dogs needing a home at the RSPCA Centre are also going to take part in the walk.
The walk takes place in Avenham and Miller Park on Sunday 11 September at 9.30am – and there’s a choice of 3k or 5k to do with your dog.
It costs £10 for one dog and £5 for any additional dogs, all humans are free.
Registration is via the RSPCA Big Walkies website.
