Flames from the window as one of the men watches
Pictures show how a home in Lea was targeted by suspected arsonists.
Flames leap from the windows of a property in Blackpool Road after ‘petrol bombs’ were thrown through them.
Two men were seen approaching the house around 12.20am on Wednesday 10 August.
The pair went to the rear of the building and attempted to use an accelerant to break a patio window.
The men can be seen lighting one of the petrol bombs
The men then tried to break the window using a brick, before again trying to use an accelerant to break the glass.
CCTV footage shows the men at the front of the property and one of the men throwing a brick through the front window before the pair made off.
Detective Constable Ian Zanelli of Preston CID said: “We are investigating an arson attack on a property in Lea. A home was targeted by two offenders and we need to find those responsible.
“We believe the suspects used petrol bombs to try and damage the building. If you recognise those involved, please contact police immediately.”
