A man is in a stable condition in hospital after being stabbed in the stomach in Lea.

The 29-year-old man was stabbed in the early hours of Sunday (31 July) morning.

A 32-year-old man from Preston was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and bailed to September 6.

A 32-year-old woman from Preston was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and bailed to September 1.

Police cordoned off a house in Lea Road until lunchtime on Sunday while forensics teams worked in the house and garden.

The three people have all been bailed until September.
