A man was chased along a Preston road by a knife-wielding robber.
AdvertisementThe 22-year-old victim was walking into Hartington Road where it joins Fishergate Hill.
He was approached by a man as he neared the junction at 1am on Saturday 20 August.
The offender threatened the man with a knife and then chased him down Hartington Road and across Strand Road and into Port Way.
Here he managed to steal the victim’s navy rucksack which contained a gold and white iPhone 5S in a black case, a brown wallet and a small amount of cash.
The offender is described as white, aged in his late twenties, 5ft 7in tall with a gaunt face. He was wearing dark clothing with his hood up.
DS Jerry Sturgess of Preston CID said: “This robbery has left the victim extremely shaken and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed what happened or has any information that could help with our enquiries to contact us.”
