Park It taking place last year
Preston’s summer events for children in parks across the city is returning for a seventh year.
Branded Park It there’s activities each Friday to keep the kids entertained.
All events are free and this year’s event marks the 40th birthday of Fulwood Leisure Centre.
The first Park It runs in Ribbleton Park on Friday 12 August.
It’s due to include bubble football, a military assault course, live bands and salsa dancing.
The climbing tower returns as well as a Preston’s Got Talent competition.
Cabinet member for culture and leisure councillor Peter Kelly said: “These events are now very well established in the Preston calendar and are hugely popular with local young people and their families.
“We must say a big thank you to all the organisers and supporters who make these events possible. And they’re free.”

The second event is on Friday 19 August and moves to the Fulwood Leisure Centre.
Event organisers Nicola Greene said: “Park It has been a much anticipated annual event that has brought the community together.
“This year is no different and we are excited to bring it to two locations, where there will be different activities on offer. Ribbleton Park will have the much loved showcase competition of Preston’s Got Talent, while Fulwood Leisure Centre celebrates its 40th birthday with plenty going on from 3pm. We hope that you will be able to join us!”
The Ribbleton event runs from 5pm to 8pm and Fulwood is 3pm to 8pm.
