Anyone enjoying a canal holiday near Preston may have to think again about making their way through the Ribble Link.

Heavy rain throughout Friday and Saturday has left the canal flooded.

Pictures show the canal at Lea overflowing as the Met Office keeps a heavy rain warning in force.

The yellow warning for rain is in force until 6pm on Saturday, with a warning for strong winds in force until 9pm.

There are currently no flood warning in place for Preston and the surrounding area, according to the Environment Agency.
