A major Preston road was closed due to a crash.

Preston Police closed Deepdale Road from Meadow Street to Preston Prison.

It is understood a bicycle and a car have collided.

Police tape is across the road and it was closed in both directions.

The incident happened shortly before 7pm on Monday (8 August).

It is not known at this stage whether there are any injuries.

The road reopened around 8.25pm on Monday.
