A man has been arrested after an incident on a coach at Preston Bus Station.

Passengers waiting at the grade II listed building saw police surrounding and searching a Megabus.

The inter-city bus service was stopped at Preston after reports of two men acting suspicously.

A police spokesman said: “Passengers have been removed from the coach and officers are at the bus station conducting enquiries.

“A man aged 32 of no fixed abode has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit criminal damage.”

The incident took place around 3.30pm on Tuesday (16 August).
