Connor Whittingham
Tributes have been paid to a motorcyclist who died in a crash on the A6.
Connor Whittingham, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene in Whittle-le-Woods.
The Bamber Bridge rider was involved in a collision with a BMW on Sunday (10 July).
His family released a statement via Lancashire Police: “Connor Whittingham a short life that could have been very much more. Connor loved his animals and motorbikes and the love of motorbikes has resulted in cutting short the life of a young man with so much to live for.
Mr Whittingham was riding a red Honda motorbike northbound in Preston Road when he approached the junction with Factory Lane.
As he neared the junction a BMW car has attempted to turn right into Preston Road.
A 40-year-old female driver from Bolton suffered whiplash injuries and was treated for shock.
Sergeant Rob Gomery, of Lancashire Police, said: “This is a tragic incident and my thoughts are with the family and friends of Connor at this sad time.
“We are appealing for any witnesses to come forward to help with our enquiries.
“We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the motorcyclist before the collision or may have witnessed the incident.”
