Preston organisation, the Light Foundation, are organising their fourth volunteer trip to Calais, France, in response to the ongoing refugee crisis.
With a renewed spirit and approach, Light Foundation volunteers will visit the humanitarian crisis from Friday 5 – Saturday 6 August 2016.
On this visit, the Light Foundation will only be taking cash donations under a 100% direct donations policy, with the aim of spending as much time as possible engaging with the refugees.
Whilst at the camp, the organisation hopes to offer companionship, friendship and to help the refugees in any way they can, particularly focusing on the grief stricken camps such as women and baby camps.

Nadeem Ashfaq, organiser of the Light Foundation, said: “The response to our previous three visits have been absolutely phenomenal, overwhelming and a great testament to the generous community that Preston is.”
The Light Foundation would welcome volunteers, and recommend anyone who is interested to get in contact with them.
