Preston Youth Theatre Summer School is coming to Preston Guild Hall for two weeks in August, leading up to a live performance on Saturday 13 August.
30 young people will have the chance to work with Bluestreak Arts, a team of theatrical experts and performers, discovering acting, new skills, playing games, and making new friends throughout the fortnight.
The theatrical takeover will teach students all the necessary theatre skills, including costume and prop making, set design, musical performance, stage management, movement, singing and acting, in classes that will be held from 9-5pm Monday-Friday between 1st-12th August.
Children will also be provided with lunch, drink and snacks whilst attending the summer school.
The work that takes place each day will then culminate in a one off extravaganza performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Guild Hall on Saturday 13 August.
Any child between the ages 11-18 can get involved, with no experience being necessary, and Bluestreak Arts encourage children to give it a try, enabling them to get a taster of the professional acting world.
