There were delays getting in and out of Preston bus station car park today after a car managed to get stuck on the central divider on the ramp.

The car reportedly drove up the ramp in the wrong lane and met oncoming traffic near the entrance. When presented a decision regarding whether to reverse all the way down the ramp or try to save time by crossing the divider, the driver appears to have chosen the latter.

As you can see, it was not successful.

The incident took place at around 2.20pm and caused significant delays for those whose road was blocked.

Although the incident appears to have been avoidable, a number of people have noted that the lanes appear to be very narrow on the ramp.

The bus station isn’t the only place to see an incident of this nature. The Fishergate plinth has taken a number of victims in a similar manner.
