The motorcyclist who died in a collision with a car in London Road has been named.
AdvertisementNamed locally as 28-year-old Robert Symonowicz, he passed away on Sunday (3 July) at the scene of the crash.
Originally from Poland he was living in Preston and working at the Marriott Hotel in Fulwood. He has previously worked at The Pines restaurant in Chorley.
He studied at Runshaw College before going on to study at Lancaster and Morecambe College.
Passers-by told of how they tried to save the biker after the collision with the BMW near the Lola restaurant in London Road.

Police are still appealing for witnesses to the incident which closed the road for around four hours on Sunday evening.
