One of Britain’s best-known illustrators Michael Foreman is to have his work displayed at the Harris Museum and Art Gallery.
He has been creating children’s books for more than 50 years and his new exhibition Painting with Rainbows gives a chance to learn about his time growing up in wartime Britain.
His books include Moose, The General, Dinosaurs and All that Rubbish.
Cabinet member for culture and leisure councillor Peter Kelly said: “We’re delighted to be showing this exciting family exhibition just as the summer holidays are about to begin.
“Michael’s drawings are incredibly beautiful and engaging and I am sure that Preston families will be visiting the show over and over again as there is so much to see and do.”
The drawings are on display until Sunday 6 November. It is free to visit.
The Harris Museum and Art Gallery recently announced it would be opening on Sundays and also late-night opening on Wednesdays.
