Driver arrested after stolen car crashes into police car in Ribbleton

A man has been arrested after a stolen car crashed into a police car in Preston.


Preston Police had a heavy police presence in the Ribbleton area on Sunday night.

Residents reported seeing the police helicopter over the Greenlands area.

A police spokeswoman confirmed a stolen Alpha Romeo had collided with a police car in Ribbleton Lane.

The driver was arrested at around 10.20pm on Sunday (17 July).
