Golfers and those living near a Preston golf course are being blighted by motorbikes.
AdvertisementOffroaders have been ripping up the golf course greens at Ingol Golf Club and making life miserable for those in Jubilee Green Fields in Ingol and Tanterton.
Preston Police have taken the step of releasing CCTV pictures of the riders as they clamp down in the problem.
Roads affected include Lower Greenfield, Oaktree Avenue, Walker Lane and Boys Lane as young men drive the vehicles round at speed.
They are often revving engines in the afternoon and early evening.
Community Beat Manager for Ingol and Tanterton PC 2635 Andy Caunce said: “This loud, dangerous and disruptive driving of motorbikes is blighting the lives of local residents with reports coming in almost daily by those affected by noise and disturbance.
“I advise those responsible to start being considerate towards the people living in the areas they are riding around and I would like to remind them that we do have powers to seize motorcycles being driven in an anti-social manner and we will start using them.”
Anyone who recognises these men is asked to call Preston Police on 101.
