A number of blood bikes in livery will line the route
Motorists in Preston are being warned of congestion as bikers turn out to line the route of a colleague.
The North West Blood Bikes Lancs & Lakes – who transfer blood supplies between hospitals in the region – are paying tribute to one of their own.
Approximately 50 bikes are due to ride on Thursday (14 July) on a route through the North of the city in memory of Marcel Falloon.
Marcel, who is sitting on the bike, is to be remembered by his colleagues
Congestion is likely as the vehicles make their way from St Andrews Church to Preston Crematorium from 1.50pm.
A spokesman for the group said: “With the assistance of Lancashire Constabulary, junctions along the route will be temporarily closed to allow the cortege of approximately 50 vehicles to pass through.
“We would like to thank in advance members of the public for their patience while the cortege passes through.
