Police are still looking for a second man after a robbery in Preston city centre.
AdvertisementAn 18-year-old man was sat on a bench outside the Marks and Spencer in Fishergate.
He was approached by two men who started talking to him, before being wrestled to the floor and a mobile phone was taken.
The incident on at 4.15am on Wednesday 8 June led to an 18-year-old man being arrested and later charged with robbery.
Preston Police are continuing their appeal for a second man.
He is described as white, aged 18 to 20, 5’5″ and wearing a dark hooded top and dark tracksuit bottoms.
Detective Constable Stephen Gilmore of Preston CID said: “We are particularly keen to trace the second man involved in this incident.
“While we have charged a man, another person linked to this theft is still wanted.
“We have since recovered the mobile phone but the incident has left the victim shaken.”

The man charged is James Higginson, 18, of Fylde Road, Preston. He appeared at Preston Magistrates Court on Thursday 9 June charged with robbery and is due to appear for trial at Preston Crown Court on Tuesday 12 July.
